About me,

My musical journey began at age four, studying piano at The Cleveland Music School Settlement with Tatyana Tolmacheva. At a similarly young age, I also started learning from Cleveland guitarist Jim Miller, which provided years of experience in both classical and rock performance, improvisation, and composition. Additionally, I have played trumpet and bass for many years, with some woodwind excursions.

I spent years in my basement at home at my keyboard, using the internal recording feature to fully play back and analyze the compositional structure of pieces from Animusic, Nintendo, and eventually many others. This served as self-structured composition and ear training lessons, and with many combined years of experimenting it led me to study composition with Nancy Galbraith and film with Jeffrey Hinkelman at Carnegie Mellon University. Through this, I am working towards my lifelong goal; writing music that shapes someone’s love of effective media composition the way my idols did for me.
